Owens & Porter is unique psychiatric service. We offer comprehensive mental health, psychiatric, and addiction treatment services in the comfort, security, and privacy of your own home, your place of business, or in our Fort Collins office.
About Us
After several years in outpatient offices and hospitals, I decided it was time for a change. I envisioned a practice truly centered around the individual, free from the constraints of traditional healthcare. I wanted a practice built from the ground up to allow for more time with each person we treat, a practice whose main goal is treating a few people really well instead of many people really quickly.

From this vision grew what would become Owens & Porter PLLC. We offer the same services you would find at a traditional psychiatrist's office: therapy, counseling, medication management as well as medication-assisted addiction treatment but with the option for telepsychiatry in addition to our office-based services.
Why do some people opt for telepsychiatry instead of the traditional office setting? Our Clients choose this option for a number of reasons. A lot of our clients live busy lives and do not have time to leave work for an appointment, or have precious little time with their friends and families and don't want to waste a moment driving to and from a doctor's appointment or in waiting rooms. For others it helps alleviate the stigma against seeking mental health treatment.
Our goal with this model is to maximize our time together by treating you where and when you are most comfortable. This model also allows us the flexibility in scheduling to be able to offer nights, weekends, as well as meet you wherever, and often whenever, you may need us.

Telepsych
There when you need us.
Unable to make time in your busy schedule for an in-person appointment? Out of town but still need to be seen? No access to a provider in your community or live in a remote area? As long as you have internet access you can still have a face-to-face conversation with your provider.
Mental Health
Office-Based Therapy and Medication Management
We offer comprehensive therapy and medication services for any diagnosis or problem including depression, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and certain sleep disturbances in the comfort and privacy of our office.
Addiction Treatment
Office-Based Therapy and Medication Management
We offer a variety of medication-assisted treatment options for those suffering with addiction including: medication-assisted detox, oral naltrexone, Vivitrol, and Suboxone. These services are all offered via telepsychiatry or in our office.
Billing/Insurance
At this time Owens & Porter PLLC is in-network with Oxford, United, UMR, Cigna, Aetna, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
We are currently in the process of applying for Tricare.
We do offer fee-for-service and out-of-network services.
We will happily supply you with a 'superbill' which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
In addition to insurance we accept cash, check, or credit cards.

The cost of treatment varies greatly based on your required services, we offer in-office, telepsychiatry, as well as in-home care. Please contact us for a complete break down of potential cost.

The Answers You Need
How do I bill my insurance?
We will gladly provide you with what is referred to as a 'superbill' detailing what areas were covered, the length of the appointment, cost of the session, and the corresponding CPT code. (The CPT code is the 5 digit code used by insurance companies to determine reimbursement rates.)
It is worth noting these 'bills' would potentially include private information.
Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy
Any appointment canceled within 24 hours, or in the instance of a 'no show', the full appointment fee will be charged.
What if I am late to my appointment?
Appointments will need to be rescheduled if:
You are more than 5 minutes late to a 20-minute appointment.
You are more than 10 minutes late to a 30-minute appointment.
You are more than 15 minutes late to a a 60-minute appointment.
